Cutter Mazda Blessing: (from l to r) Sara Cutter; Director of Marketing, Kahu Daniel Akaka, Jr., and Jarrett Cutter; Co-Owner of Cutter Automotive Galleries and COO.

The Cutter family is proud to announce the traditional Hawaiian blessings of two of their newest Cutter Automotive Galleries locations.

Friends, employees, and members of the community joined the family for the ceremonies on January 28 at their new Cutter Mazda and Cutter Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram locations in Honolulu.

Kahu (Rev.) Daniel Akaka, Jr. — son of former U.S. Senator Daniel K. Akaka, nephew of Rev. Dr. Abraham Akaka, and cultural historian — officiated the blessings. Each location had a red ribbon holding a Maile lei draped in front of the double front doors. Marc Cutter had the honor of unraveling the red ribbon to release the lei and commence the ceremonies.

Marc, Jarrett, and Sara Cutter followed Kahu Daniel Akaka, Jr. as he used ti leaves to sprinkle saltwater blessings throughout in the same manner as ancient kahuna priests did for religious ceremonial rituals. All those present stood in a moment of silence to combine positive energies, mana, and spirits for the success of the two new locations.

Following the blessings, the Cutter family treated their staff to an employee luncheon. Later, they welcomed guests to a grand opening party where Malu Productions entertained them with traditional music and dance.

The Cutter family has been a part of the community here in Hawai'i since 1974, holding many traditional blessings for new locations and grand openings. Visit cutterauto.com or come by any of our locations to see what we can do for you.
