The 2017 Jeep® Renegade has all the utility and off-road capability Jeep is known for, with a few strategic updates that make driving it even more of an adventure. With four available trims (the Latitude, Sport, Limited, and Trailhawk®) the Renegade offers an array of driving options that are sure to please just about everyone.

Performance

A 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is standard equipment on the Renegade Sport and Latitude models, producing 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, returning a thrifty EPA-rated 27 mpg combined (24 mpg city, 31 mpg highway)* with both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.

The Renegade Limited upgrades to producing 180 horsepower and an EPA-rated 22 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, while the off-roading Trailhawk® comes with a 2.4-liter Tigershark® MultiAir® 2 engine, equipping the model with 180 horsepower and an EPA-rated 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. The 2017 Renegade is equally at home on the road and off it, enabling you to take it anywhere you want to go.

Features and Safety

You'll be traveling safely and in style, no matter where you go, with the Renegade safety and design features. All models come standard with features like a 3.5-inch TFT gauge-cluster display, cloth low-back front bucket seats, 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat, tilt and telescope steering column, and steering wheel audio controls. Other models may come with ambient LED lighting, fog lights, roof rails, leather-wrapped steering wheels, leather seats with front heating, and more.

Standard safety equipment on the 2017 Jeep Renegade includes anti-lock brakes, stability and traction controls, hill-start assist, and seven airbags. Optional features include LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Full-Speed Forward Collison Warning, Active Braking, and Blind Spot Monitoring System.

Design

The interior is based on a design tactic called “Tek-Tonic," which emphasizes the relationship between soft and rough surfaces. One example of this in the Renegade is the soft-touch dashboard and beefy passenger grab handles. There is also a decent amount of space, including 18.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats up, and 50.8 cubic feet with the seats folded.

The Renegade doesn’t come up short on technology either. The Uconnect® infotainment system with HD Radio and SiriusXM® satellite radio compatibility is standard on Limited and Altitude trims and is available on the Sport trim. Upgrade to the Uconnect® Access telematics system, which includes features like voice texting and emergency assistance.
